Accounts Payable Assisant - Full-time, Starts Immediately! at Accountemps, Muscatine, IA

Classification:  Accounts Payable Clerk

Compensation:  $13.84 to $16.84 per hour

Leading Manufacturer in the Steel Industry is partnering with Accountemps to identify an Accounts Payable Assistant to become an integral part of their successful, tenured team! As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will match and batch code, assist with vendor file maintenance, ensure the accuracy and validity of check and wire payment amounts, resolve A/P issues, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, post journal entries and other duties as assigned by leadership. Position reports to the Assistant Controller.Accounts Payable (A/P) candidates should have strong communication, customer service and organizational skills. A minimum of an Associates Degree in Accounting or other related area is required - Bachelors Degree preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is expected; familiarity with additional software programs is valued. 1+ years proven experience in accounts payable or related field is preferred.
